One of my easiest tips for becoming a Persuasive
Presenter iss very simple: Give MORE Presentations!!!
It actually doesn’t matter if each one becomes a hit
or not. What matters is that you learn something everytime.
Think about the following examples:
1. Jack gives 3 presentations in 2009.
2. Tina gives 3 PTs PER MONTH (=36) in 2009.
Who has a clear advantage? Tina of course.
For Jack to gain the experience that Tina got would take
him 12 years. 12 YEARS!!!
YOU decide how fast you become great at presentation.
YOU are the one to turn your into a Persuasive Presenter (…or not).
My suggestion: Schedule a presentation a week in 2009.
Who can you present to? Coworkers or bosses or employees
(very official), family members, friends, visit a Toastmasters
presentation club www.toastmasters.org (to find a club near you).
Give short presentations. Even 3 minutes. (increase it over
the year, as you become more confident)
After each presentation ask yourself:
a. What did I do well?
b. What can I learn and improve for next time?
If you really do this, and improve something every time, you
have good chances to become one of the best presenters
in your field within one year.
So one more thing to do: Get out your scheduler right now,
make some phone calls or announcements and set up your
presentation plan for 2009.
Are you ready to become a leading presenter in your field?
Get excited,
Ben
